The factual accuracy of this file is disputed. This map appears to be rather inconsistent with regards to the changes in ethnic and hence language compositions of post WW II Poland and the Czech Republic. The map labels formerly German East Prussia as definitively speaking either Russian (northern East Prussia) or Polish (southern East Prussia) and the formerly German territories of post-WW II Poland speaking "new Polish dialects" while the map leaves as _unlabeled_ the pre-WW II Sudeten regions of the Czech Republic. Those formerly Sudeten German regions of the Czech Republic are at least as "Czech speaking" today as the former East Prussian regions are now "Polish or Russian Speaking." This is not to argue about the justice or injustice of the forcible removal of millions of ethnic Germans from East Prussia, western post-WW II Poland or the pre-WW II region of the Sudetenland. It's just a statement of reality. It should be noted that the map comes originally from a Polish source. |
This linguistic map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with
{{vector version available|new image name}} .
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Languages of CE Europe-3.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter. |

I repeat it was absurd!, therefore I created G3, see below); G3 - created Czech-Silesian also know as Lach dialects, up to 1980s regarded by some... | |
