At the 2006 census, its population was 9,047 in 2,126 households, when it was in the Central District.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 9,551 people in 2,472 households,[5] by which time the city had been separated from the district in the establishment of Bazargan District.[3] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 9,979 people in 3,043 households.[6]
