Arenys de Mar (Catalan pronunciation: [əˈɾɛɲz ðə ˈmar], arenys bein Catalan for "sands (o a saisonal creek)", an de mar for "bi the sea" as opponit tae Arenys de Munt, "sands up hill") is ane o the main municipalities o the comarca o Maresme, Barcelona, Catalonie, Spain. It is situatit on the coast atween Caldes d'Estrac an Canet de Mar, aboot 40 kilometres (25 mile) northeast o Barcelona. As o 2010[update], it haed a population o 14,688.[1]
