What's In A Name?
I just thought I'd briefly explain the meaning behind my name, "PaleRider NightWolf"
As most of you know, within Magick circles, people take a "magickal" name. There are similar practices within Christianity/Catholicism and even many Muslims take a "Muslim" name.
So, let's cut to the chase.
PaleRider - No, it isn't from the Clint Eastwood movie. I actually haven't even seen that movie yet! (I keep meaning to put it on my Netflix account) I got this name from the Book of Revelation, the last book of the canonical Christian Bible. In Revelation 6:8, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse is riding a pale horse - and the rider's name is Death. If you look at the Death Tarot Card, it symbolizes change. At the time I chose this as part of my name, I was going through a change in my spiritual beliefs and understanding.
NightWolf - This part is a whole lot easier. The Wolf is my animal totem, the part of nature in which I feel the closest. I've used many names in which "Wolf" was part of it. (At one time, I even used the name "Highlandwolf" to symbolize my Scottish ancestory as well as my totem). And, well, for those of you who know me... I'm most active at night. I'm a rather nocturnal person, always have been.
Sooo... I hope my magickal name makes sense now :-)
