Tarmonbarry, officially Termonbarry (Irish: Tearmann Bearaigh, meaning 'St Barry's sanctuary'),[2] is a village in County Roscommon, Ireland. It is located where the N5 National primary route crosses the River Shannon. East of the bridge, part of the village lies in County Longford. As of the 2022 census, the population of the village 699 people,[1] up from 443 as of the 2016 census.[3] The village is a few kilometres west of the county town of Longford, near Strokestown and Roosky.[citation needed]
