Syzransky District

Syzransky District (Russian: Сы́зранский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[7] district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,887 square kilometers (729 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the city of Syzran[2] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[13] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 25,947.[4]
