Surgutsky District
District in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Surgutsky District (Russian: Сургу́тский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the nine in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia. It is located in the center of the autonomous okrug. The area of the district is 105,190 square kilometers (40,610 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the city of Surgut (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 113,515 (2010 Census);[2] 106,624 (2002 Census);[7] 74,685 (1989 Soviet census).[8]
