The 19th century Savudrija Lighthouse is a distinctive local landmark; it is the oldest in Croatia, and the oldest operational light of the Adriatic. The 29-metre-high (95 ft) lighthouse is also the most northerly in Croatia.[4] Three kinds of wind meet here, so the area is popular with windsurfers.
