Sarah Amalia Teichmann (born 15 April 1975)[1] FRS FMedSci[15] is a German scientist who is head of cellular genetics at the Wellcome Sanger Institute[16] and a visiting research group leader at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI).[17][12] She serves as director of research (equivalent to Professor)[18] in the Cavendish Laboratory,[19] at the University of Cambridge and a senior research fellow at Churchill College, Cambridge.[20][21]
