Sahneh (Persian: صحنه and Kurdish: سهحنه), also Romanized as Şaḩneh and Sehneh; also known as Sahna,[3] is a city in the Central District of Sahneh County, Kermanshah province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] The city is mostly Kurdish speaking.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 34,133 in 8,861 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 36,542 people in 10,594 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 35,508 people in 10,985 households.[2]
