Parthenope (Ancient Greek: Παρθενόπη) was one of the Sirens in Greek mythology.[1][2][3][4] Her name means "maiden-voiced" from parthenos (παρθένος, meaning fig. maiden/virgin) and ops (ὄψ, meaning 'voice').[5]: 20
