Gerolamo "Nino" Bixio (Italian: [dʒeˈrɔːlamo ˈniːno ˈbiksjo]; Ligurian: [ˈbiːʒu];[1] 2 October 1821 – 16 December 1873) was an Italian general, patriot and politician, one of the most prominent figures in the Italian unification.
