Mikadocephalus
Extinct genus of reptiles / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mikadocephalus is an extinct genus of ichthyosaur. Its remains have been found in Europe, in the Anisian of Switzerland. The type species is Mikadocephalus gracilirostris.[1][2] In 2021, Bindellini and colleagues considered M. gracilirostris to be a junior synonym of Besanosaurus leptorhynchus.[3]
It has been suggested that this article be merged into Besanosaurus. (Discuss) Proposed since December 2023. |
