Michael Norman George James OC FRS FRSC (born 1940)[1] (died 2023)[2] was Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Alberta.[8][9] He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS) in 1989 for "substantial contributions to the improvement of natural knowledge".[10] He was appointed to the Order of Canada in June 2023, with the rank of Officer. He lived in Edmonton.[11]
