Meeri Kalavainen

Meeri Sirka Kalavainen[1] (27 April 1918 – 27 October 2010) was a Finnish politician. She represented Kymi in the Parliament of Finland as a member of the Social Democratic Party from 1948 to 1979. She was also the country's first minister of culture in the cabinet of prime minister Ahti Karjalainen from 1970 to 1971.
