Mahler Symphony No. 4 discography
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a discography of audio recordings of Gustav Mahler's Fourth Symphony. The symphony premiered at the Kaim-Saal in Munich on 25 November 1901.[1] The symphony's first recording in 1930 by Hidemaro Konoye and the New Symphony Orchestra of Tokyo is the first electrical recording of any Mahler symphony.[2]
The tabular list below is of recordings by symphony orchestras of Mahler's score. A separate list is provided, below the primary list of recordings of the full orchestra version, of chamber ensemble reductions of the work, principally of the version for 15 players by Erwin Stein.
