Khabarsky District (Russian: Хаба́рский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the krai. The area of the district is 2,800 square kilometers (1,100 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Khabary.[1] Population: 16,431 (2010 Russian census);[3] 19,913 (2002 Census);[6] 29,498 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of the administrative center accounts for 33.8% of the district's total population.[3]
