Kahak (Persian: کهک)[lower-alpha 1] is a city in the Central District of Kahak County, Qom province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,766 in 797 households, when it was in the former Nofel Loshato District of Qom County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,906 people in 883 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,837 people in 1,480 households.[2]
After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Kahak County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Kahak as its capital and only city.[4]
