Jasiel F. Correia II (born December 11, 1991) is a former mayor of Fall River, Massachusetts. He was arrested twice on charges related to fraud and extortion while in office. Defeated in the November 2019 mayoral election, his term expired on January 6, 2020.[2] In May 2021, Correia was convicted of multiple federal charges in a trial held in Boston; on September 21, 2021, Correia was sentenced to six years in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release. On April 22, 2022, Correia reported to a Federal Correctional Institution to begin serving his six-year sentence.
