It is also the location for the Hong Kong Sevens tournament hosted annually. Hong Kong Stadium has also hosted the Rugby World Cup Sevens twice, in 1997 and 2005.The stadium is home to the Hong Kong national football team, Hong Kong national rugby union team and hosts international matches for Hong Kong Premier League club side Kitchee SC.
