George Donne (1605–1639), who played a significant role in the establishment of Virginia, has been described by historian Brent Tarter as, "the less talented son of the clergyman and poet John Donne."[1] He is chiefly remembered for his 1638 pamphlet, Virginia Reviewed, a plan to reform the government of the Virginia colony.[2]
