Frederick McKinley Jones (May 17, 1893 ā February 21, 1961) was an American inventor, entrepreneur, engineer, winner of the National Medal of Technology, and an inductee of the National Inventors Hall of Fame.[1] Jones innovated mobile refrigeration technology. He received 61 patents, 40 for refrigeration technology.[2] He co-founded Thermo King and also served as a Sergeant in World War I.[1][3]
