Object history |
English: The arms were first granted in 1881 and were confirmed on January 18, 1957. The arms of the Duchy of Schleswig show two lions, which are derived from the Danish arms, which show three lions. The two lions appear first on the seal of 1245. The arms of Holstein show the nettle leaf of the Counts of Schauenburg (or Schaumburg) and Holstein. |
