The chestnut-crowned babbler (Pomatostomus ruficeps) is a medium-sized bird that is endemic to arid and semi-arid areas of south-eastern Australia.[2] It is a member of the family Pomatostomidae, which comprises five species of Australo-Papuan babblers.
