William Brooke Hayes (born 1961) is an American non-fiction writer and photographer. He has written five books – Sleep Demons, Five Quarts, The Anatomist, Insomniac City[1] and Sweat – and has produced one book of photography, How New York Breaks Your Heart. His freelance writing has appeared in a number of periodicals, most notably The New York Times.
