An indirect sequel to The Dark Descent, titled Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, was released on 10 September 2013. The Amnesia Collection – which contains The Dark Descent, its Amnesia: Justine expansion and A Machine for Pigs was released for PlayStation 4 on 22 November 2016, and for Xbox One on 28 September 2018. The same collection was released on the Nintendo Switch on 12 September 2019.[10] A second sequel, developed by Frictional Games, Amnesia: Rebirth, was announced on 6 March 2020, and was released on 20 October 2020. The third sequel, Amnesia: The Bunker, was released on 6 June 2023.
