Yūji Yamamoto

Yuji Yamamoto (山本 有二, Yamamoto Yūji, born May 11, 1952) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature).

A native of Kōchi Prefecture and graduate of Waseda University, he was elected to the Kōchi Prefectural Assembly [ja] in 1985 (serving for one term) and then to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1990. Yamamoto is currently Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in the Abe cabinet.
