Extinct genus of reptiles / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Laiyangosaurus ("Laiyang lizard") is a genus of saurolophine hadrosaurid from the Late Cretaceous of China. It is known from one species, L.youngi, found in the Laiyang Basin within the province of Shandong. Its specific name is in reference to Yang Zhongjian, who did a great amount of paleontological work in the area. -figure out relation between Tanius Laiyangensis and Laiyangosaurus, if there is any. T.laiyangensis is determined to be kritosaurine, while L. youngi is determined as sauroliphine. Probably just similarity in name because of source location. -figure out temporal range
