From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hum, 583 m high and the most prominent peak of Laško region, is situated on the Savinja river left bank. For ages, its foothills have been giving a shelter to the old castle under which thermal water has been pumped from the springs there. Just from the top of the hill a visitor can afford a marvelous view on to the city and its surroundings being trimmed by numerous churches spread across the nearby villages. Facing to the North the Pohorje is well seen from the distance as well as the Posavje Highlands on the West, Kum peaks and Veliko and Malo Kozje with Lisca on the South.
