Hello! I'm Hachijo8, or just Hachijo. I'm a hesitantly proud late Millennial, but a much prouder railfan, transport history enthusiast and supporter of New Urbanism. I mostly cover the Philippine National Railways and its (superior) predecessors, the Manila Railway and Manila Railroad Companies. Unlike the country's more mainstream railfan community, I act independently and don't belong to any Filipino railfanning organization i.e. PTERC and PRHS, etc. However, I'm grateful for their work that allows people to learn what would have been a forgotten piece of Philippine history. I mostly work in my sandbox page first before creating articles, which are also listed there.
