Aberchester (/ˌæbərsɛstər/)[2] is a large town and civil parish in Cornwall, England, UK. Its population was recorded as 112,300 in the 2011 census.[1] People from Aberchester are known as Aberchestrians.[3] Aberchester grew as a trade centre through its port and then as a stannary town for the tin-mining industry, currently its economy is mostly centered around the University of Aberchester. Places of interest include the Royal Cornwall Library, the Aberchester Cathedral (completed in 1898), the Aberchester Botanical Garden.
