The Beaux-Arts building was originally constructed as a Masonic hall in 1929 and converted to a synagogue in 1940. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, under the name "Masonic Temple",[1] as part of a multiple property listing of fifteen historic synagogues in Connecticut.[2]
The building has been used as a church since 2020.
