Peter O'Connor (31 March 1912 – 19 June 1999) was an Irish republican and communist who fought as a volunteer in the Spanish Civil War as part of the International Brigades. It has been suggested by some sources that O'Connor saw the most fighting of any Irish volunteer for the Republican side in that war.[2] He also served as a local councillor and activist in his home town of Waterford City.
