Nicolaas Smit

Nicolaas Jacobus Smit (5 May 1837 ā 4 April 1896) was a Boer general and politician. During the First Boer War, he led Boer forces to victory during the Battle of Majuba Hill. He served as Vice State President of the South African Republic from 1887 and served until his death.
