Laura Trott MBE (born 7 December 1984) is a British politician who has served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury since November 2023. A member of the Conservative Party, she was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sevenoaks at the 2019 general election. Trott previously served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for Work and Pensions between October 2022 and November 2023. Before entering parliament, Trott worked as a partner at Portland Communications, and as a special adviser.
