Frederick William Hackwood FRHS (18 April 1851 ā 4 December 1926) was a teacher, antiquarian, journalist, and prolific non-fiction writer who produced more than 30 books. He was born in Wednesbury in the West Midlands of England and served that town as a justice of the peace, historian, and councillor. He wrote for the Wednesbury Herald for twenty years.
