Summary
DescriptionShasta Limited circa late 1900s.JPG | Postcard depiction of the Shasta Limited at Mount Rainier. The railroad it's shown as traveling on is the Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company. The name of the railroad was originally the Oregeon Railroad and Navigation Company. By 1910 as Union Pacific bought a substantial stake in it renamed it. By 1936, UP was using the line under the UP name for its access to the Pacific Northwest. It seems that Southern Pacific, who operated the Shasta, must have had some type of agreement with the WOR&N in the train's earlier years. |
