Español: Escudo de Ayacucho (Perú): ...en campo de azur sobre el que se carga un castillo de oro, alusivo sin duda al vencimiento de la fortaleza o pucará situada cerca de la ciudad y por ser, además, plaza fuerte fronteriza contra los indios. Sobre el escudo y en medio de nubes aparece el Agnus Dei, echado sobre el libro de siete sellos y llevando una bandera roja de dos puntas, con cruz de plata como es costumbre pintarlo, él alude indudablemente al simbólico cordero de San Juan Bautista, cuyo nombre se dio a la ciudad. Ayacucho, el escudo de Huamanga. Se representa con el campo terrasado de sinople y sobre una cartela coloreada.
