Summary
DescriptionDerelict pillbox east of Redcliff Point, Weymouth Bay - geograph.org.uk - 121720.jpg |
English: Derelict pillbox east of Redcliff Point, Weymouth Bay. This Second World War pillbox has slumped onto the beach and is part filled with sand and shingle. This is a remote stretch of beach between Redcliff Point (in the background) and Black Head, a difficult walk along the coast from Bowleaze Cove or a tricky slip down the muddy cliff from the coastal path above. The Isle of Portland can be seen in the distance across Weymouth Bay. |
