Summary
DescriptionCopticBaptismalProcessionSolomon.JPG |
English: "Coptic Baptismal Procession" (1865) by Simeon Solomon. Watercolour, bodycolour and gum Arabic on paper. An illustration for "Letters from Egypt" by Lady Duff Gordon it was not drawn from life but based on research and imagination. On display at The Higgins museum and gallery, Bedford. In addition to the usual perspective correction wit the GIMP, I have airbrushed out a light reflection in the extreme top right corner. |
