Summary
DescriptionApolloHead SaintPierreCathedral-Geneva RomanDeckert14032021.jpg |
English: An enigmatic relief sculpture at the back of the Saint Pierre Cathedral in Geneva, Switzerland. It bears the nickname "the head of Apollon". Local legend has it that the cathedral was built upon the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to the ancient Greek deity. Experts reason that it was a whim of the sculptor.
