Deutsch: Deutsches Reich: Am 18. Januar 1871 wird der preußische König Wilhelm I. im Spiegelsaal des Schlosses zu Versailles zum Deutschen Kaiser ausgerufen. In der Bildmitte: Otto von Bismarck, vor ihm Generalfeldmarschall Graf Hellmuth von Moltke. Bismarck trug dabei eine blaue Uniform und nicht eine weiße, wie es Anton von Werner es unhistorischer Weise dargestellt hat.
