The Basarabă of Caransebeș family (Latin: Bazaraba de Karansebes, Hungarian: karánsebesi Baszaraba) was a Romanian[1] noble family from what today is Banat, Romania, whose members held various positions in the administrative structure of the Banate of Lugoj and Caransebeș (Hungarian: Karánsebesi-Lugosi Bánság), part of the Principality of Transylvania (Hungarian: Érdelyi Fejedelmség) in the 16th and 17th centuries.
