Viscount Antoine Henri Philippe Léon Cartier d'Aure (2 June 1799 – 6 April 1863) was a French riding-master, and author of important treatises on dressage. He was écuyer en chef of the Cadre Noir of Saumur, and later to the Emperor of France, Napoléon III.[1] He was made an officer of the Légion d'Honneur in 1849.[1]
