Aleksandar Popović (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Поповић, pronounced [aleksǎːndar pǒpoʋit͜ɕ] or [alěksaːndar], born 20 October 1971) is a Serbian politician and university professor. He served as the Minister of Energy and Mining from 2007 to 2008, and as the Minister of Science and Environmental Protection from 2004 to 2007.[1] Before becoming a politician, Popović was a sprinter who competed internationally throughout 1990s.
